Update your website OFTEN if you want leads from it

This is a common scenario.
Busy businesses have enough to do running their business operation as it is.
Yet all the evidence suggests, that companies who regularly add fresh content to their websites receive more enquiries.
A recent study identified that of those who added fresh content to their websites more than once a day 100% of them got new business leads directly from their website. Whereas with companies that only update their website monthly, that figure falls to just 38%.
There are other factors to consider too. If you don't add fresh content to your website, not only will it become less appealing to potential customers but to search engines too. Google thrives on fresh content. If we were all to leave our websites in day one order then essentially we are missing the point of the web as a dynamic medium and almost filing our website away as though some kind of directory place holder.
