Google Instant launched today good news?
Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 7:19PM It's the same Google only a faster version. But is that all there is to it?
Save your fingers from typing as Google predicts what you're looking for, with Google Instant.
Sounds great doesn't it?
Using Ajax technology Google predicts as you type. Not only predicting what your search may be but also displaying all sorts of results for matches before you've finished typing. Not sure why we would need to see such unrelated search results as they're not relevant.
Google say it's all about saving time with less typing per search. That's assuming you don't get distracted by the preceding search results and Adwords of course.
Adwords users take note
Adwords impressions will multiply considerably whilst clickthrough rates will reduce even further which is bad news for Adwords advertisers where payment per click is calculated with the number of impressions being a key indicator.
It won't stop users but you should keep a closer eye on your Google Adwords' costs [sponsored links/ads] if you use them.
